Victorian Teaching Profession Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics is a short aspirational document based on the three values identified by teachers in Victoria as fundamentally important to their practice. These are: integrity, respect and responsibility. The Code recognises teachers’ unique position of trust and influence and how this plays out in their relationships with students, parents (caregivers and guardians), colleagues and the community. Also provided is a background summary of the development of the Code of Conduct and case studies which examine each of the values of the Code of Ethics and what these values might look like in practice across a range of scenarios.
